Sightseeing @ Mount Donna Buang

We brought my my mother and in law to Mount Donna Buang to see some snow when they visited couple of weeks back. The journey was not too far away, which is approximately 80km from Melbourne. It is the closest snow mountain to Melbourne. Mount Donna Buang is suitable for sightseeing, snowplay and tobogganing.

Mummy cannot stand the cold so after took a few pictures, she decided to stay inside the car! =P

Nothing much we can do or see over there as we didn’t walk all the way to the mountain top. Just took a few pictures then we headed home. Personally I prefer Mount Muller or Lake Mountain as there are more activities that we can do there. Due to mummy and MIL don’t want to ski and they prefer somewhere nearer.  =D

Livebait Seafood Restaurant @ Docklands

There’s a promotion from the Herald Sun called “Split the Bill”. Present 5 tokens for each person at a participating restaurant and you will get 50% off for your bill. What a great deal, right?

Therefore, I tried to collect heaps of tokens for two of us since few weeks ago. We spent our first 10 tokens at Livebait Seafood Restaurant located at Docklands.

Overall, it was a good view, nice food and great price lunch we had for the lovely Sunday! =D

We will “explore” to another restaurant next week with the tokens. Till then.

A perfect day out with mum – shopping and sightseeing in Melbourne CBD.

Started our day with a dazzling breakfast at Degraves Street.

Our first stop was Queen Victoria Market. Not many photos taken for myself as I’ve been there xxx times already. Everything is still the same for me… but for new comer is a different story. Hence, the main character of the day was my mum. =D

Managed to get some souvenirs for her friends…

Started our shopping journey along the Collins and Burke Street then followed by Melbourne Central. After some “crazy” shopping, our stomach started growling and finally we settled ourselves at a cozy Asian café for some noodles and some dim sums.

The weather was so good… lovely sunny day!

Who knows, it was pouring in the noon. Luckily we’d “landed” at Laurent Boulangerie Patisserie for tea.

Ended this post with a photo of me, mom and Chai Hoong. We bumped into each other at QV… Melbourne is pretty small. We catched up for a while and headed home after this.
