Birthday Dinner @ Koko

Hubby and I celebrated my birthday on Saturday night at this Japanese restaurant – Koko which is located in Crown. This leading Japanese restaurant is very popular and you may need to make reservation few days before you visit as it will be full. The environment is very good; the decoration of the restaurant is very unique as well! About the food… they are fabulous!

We had booked a table beside the window with views of the Yarra River and city skyline. Also, we can view the towers of gas brigades, where fireballs are released from the top of the towers.

We had ordered a variety of sushi as entrée and 2 fish meals which were the pan-fried Sakana Teriyaki Kingfish and grilled Sakana Shioyaki Patagonian Toothfish. The pan-fried fish was very tasty as the fish meat was so soft and moist.

Lastly our dessert was “Vanilla and Adzuki Bean Panna Cotta”. It was so DELICIOUS! I love the red bean (in the middle), it taste so yummy and the lemon sorbet was good too!

Seik Mei's Visit

Seik Mei and her hubby came to Melbourne last few weeks for holidays. We managed to catch up with each other for dinner. The first night, we went to Szechuan restaurant. This restaurant is located at China Town and is famous with the spicy dishes! As you know, Szechuan food is always spicy and oily!

We also managed to meet up together with Chai Hoong and her husband for the second night. We went to a Shanghai styled restaurant for dinner. Well, Chinese food area all the same, very oily! Overall, the meals were delicious though!

Here are some photos to share with…

Indian Students Protested Against Racial Attacks

I happened to walk pass Swanston Street after my fitness class and there were thousands of Indian students beside Flinders Street Station and Federation Square protesting against recent racial attacks. Out of curiosity I walked towards the crowds and snapped some photos. :P

Polices on horses

A bus tried to go through the crowd, but the angry protestors forced it to backtrack.

Surprisingly, we still heard the noise after dinner so we decided to go out and “had a look”. :P

After lunch, we started our “shopping for my birthday gift” journey. Yeah… my birthday is just around the corner so I have the “authority” to buy things. Hehe…

However, nothing fancy that catches my attention here so we decided to go back to the city instead. Hubby suggested that we went to Crown and he bought me a Burberry bag! Yeahhhh!
