Ello... little bunny!

Spotted this cute little bunny in front of my doorway the other day.

Immediately whisperred to hubby to get me the camera so that I can capture it.

After a few shots she ran away! (I am pretending it is a female)

I was thinking to feed her some food, but she was gone :(

The funny thing was, hubby spotted her again in the afternoon at our back yard!

Isn’t she cute! Feel like wanna carry her but it is a wild rabbit…  better don’t take the risk of getting bitten by this little cute thing!

That’s just a random post for today. =)

Stay tuned for my next post – hubby brought me and brother to Sorrento for Dolphin and Seals sightseeing! Woo hoo!!!

New Family Members

Honestly, I am not a person who is interested in having any pet as I think that it is too troublesome. It doesn’t mean that I don’t like them though.

Hubby loves to have an aquarium at home. He had been talking about it and had been googling about fish. When we stayed in the rented apartment he always wanted to buy an aquarium but I insisted that it was not a good time because we didn’t have enough space for it. Now that we have moved to our own home he has got all the space that he needs.

Last Thursday when I got home from work I saw this empty fish tank sitting in the study room. I was wondering how come he didn’t buy any fish yet. According to hubby, the aquarium water needs to go through what they call the “Nitrogen Cycle” process where bacteria are slowly established in the aquarium to help with the conversion of ammonia to nitrite and then the nitrite to nitrates. (okay, I am not that smart to know all this stuff but I had received a lecture from hubby)

This process should take about a minimum of 2 weeks before fish can be safely added into the aquarium, but hubby couldn’t wait any longer before he could get his fish so he tried to speed up the cycle process by purchasing pure ammonia and a bacteria culture product. And off we went to an aquarium shop on the weekend to purchase his pets. =P

While waiting for hubby to choose his fish, I randomly took some pictures.

Okay, the final product is completed and he is happy now. He can just sit there and “watch” the fish swim here and there. **rolling eye** =O

So yeah, new “family members” in the house.

Wandering around in the city

Yesterday I headed to the city and meet up with August. It’s been ages since we last seen each other. I suppose our last catch up was on last summer, about 3 months ago.

Sorry gal, it’s been a while…

Since the SALE is still on, of course, we went for shopping! Before that we made our way to have some light lunch. We opted for Japanese food as both of us are trying to get some fat out of our body! =D

This scallop salad is really yum!

We decided to stroll outdoor as the weather was beautiful! The best thing to do is… camwhoring! =P

We managed to get some bargain cloths!**happy**

We planned to walk to the other end of the river. Unfortunately we didn't make it... too lazy as it is too far plus we were wearing heels!!!

Hence, we chilled at a café for some drinks.

My favourite drink during the winter – “Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows”

Some views infront of the café.

Having our tea break beside Yarra River… what a good view with a tasty yet beautiful cupcake!

What a wonderful day out! (“;)

Alright then, end this post with my favorite shot of the day! ^_^
Ciao

Home Sweet Home

Yay! 6 Feb, I will be going back to Malaysia to celebrate Chinese New Year! Hooray!!!

I’ve started to plan the activities like what to eat, where to go, catch up with buddies, blah blah blah… too many things to do! Yes, I am so excited about it.

It has been one and a half years since I came to Melbourne. Honestly, it is not a very long period but still I miss my mum, dad, brothers and my buddies so much and of course I miss all the authentic Malaysian food too! =D

In addition, we will also have our wedding “Tea Ceremony” during CNY. As you know, Chinese are fond of such belief even though we had been married for 2 years but we didn't had any Chinese traditional ceremony before we came to Melbourne. Somehow my mother changed her mind. Duh~ hence, it will be a simple buffet’s dinner held at my home on 17th Feb 2010.

27 days to go...

Re-visit our “in progress” house

Yes, I was tagged along by hubby to Craigieburn to visit our house which is currently being built. Actually I was too indolent to go out on Sunday as typically Sunday will be my baking day. I’ve planned to bake some Christmas goodies this week and you know what!? Baking really cheers me up! However, I managed to bake one of the goodies before we went out. Hehe… good on me!

On the way to Craigieburn… (on the train)

Yay! My new house (only the frame at the moment… haha!)

Posing around the house... :P

Waiting for the bus to go to the train station... snapping around to pass time!

On the way back, hubby suggested that we stopped at Broadmeadows Shopping Centre before we get back to the city as we were bored with the shopping centre in the city.

Yeahhhh! Christmas is just around the corner...

While we were hanging around at the ground floor, I saw this restaurant – La Porchetta which serves the best pizzas and pasta! Hubby knows that I fancy Italian food, hence, he suggested to have our early dinner here. (Frankly, it was about 4.00pm) Dinner? Huh? It should probably be afternoon tea, right? Anyway, how can I say NO? I answered 'OKOK, let’s do it!' An utter pleasure… = )

We ordered a Super Special Pizza – homemade tomato sauce base, ham, mozzarella, anchovies, mushroom, olives, capsicum and hot salami.

A very thin slice of crispy pizza! Yummy yummy! =)

Another must try meal will be pasta! When come to pasta, I tend to choose cream sauce. Usually I will choose Carbonara but today I opted for something different (still with cream sauce though) which is Pollo e Funghi - Spaghetti with lean chicken pieces, spring onions, freshly diced mushrooms cooked with grated parmesan in a cream sauce. Oh yum! I enjoyed every bite of it.

Hubby also ordered a seafood platter for us – Frittura Mista. We tried this before and they were really delicious so definitely we didn’t miss it.

A basket of seafood containing 1 piece of fish, 7 calamari rings, 3 scallops and 3 prawns. You can choose one of the following sides: fresh salad or steamed vegetables or chips. Of course, chips were our choice!

Last but not least, sweet moment arrived! Hubby noticed that I kept eyeing on the dessert menu. :P He pampered me with this yummylicious ** Bacio Bon Bon**. A delicious dessert ice cream made by creamy bacio (a combination of chocolate and hazelnut) gelato with a cocoa syrup centre coated in chocolate and topped with meringue sprinkles. It was superb! (“;)

In that moment, I really didn’t mind those calories that I will gain. Well, I know I will definitely regret after that. :P However, it was a satiated meal for the day! Thanks to hubby for bringing me. ^_^

Oh ya, I was lucky to taste homemade "lobak" by Chai Hoong in the evening. It’s been ages since I ate this authentic Malaysian food.

The chicken was tender and juicy. I love the crispy outer layer the most and now I am yearning for more Malaysian food… LOL. Anyway, credit to Chai Hoong for the delicious lobak! = )
