Ello... little bunny!

Spotted this cute little bunny in front of my doorway the other day.

Immediately whisperred to hubby to get me the camera so that I can capture it.

After a few shots she ran away! (I am pretending it is a female)

I was thinking to feed her some food, but she was gone :(

The funny thing was, hubby spotted her again in the afternoon at our back yard!

Isn’t she cute! Feel like wanna carry her but it is a wild rabbit…  better don’t take the risk of getting bitten by this little cute thing!

That’s just a random post for today. =)

Stay tuned for my next post – hubby brought me and brother to Sorrento for Dolphin and Seals sightseeing! Woo hoo!!!

Chinese New Year Celebrations 2011

This year is the year of the Rabbit. The Chinese zodiac is represented by 12 animal signs and the Rabbit year is the 4th animal sign in this cycle. It always starts with Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog and lastly Pig.

I am in the 12 animal sign: “The Pig is an innocent, sweet and lovable personality. They can also be quite melancholy and over-sensitive. The Pig loves the company of others, and adores parties, gossip and chit chat. They are highly intelligent, but prefer to keep this side of their nature under wraps. The Pig does not care that much for money, but is one of the zodiac signs that is very lucky.” Sounds ok to me. =D

Ok, since this year we’ve decided to stay in Melbourne instead of flying back to Malaysia for the celebration, we went to Chinatown to experience the Melbournian CNY culture (年初三). They have some events going on such as Lion Dance and Dragon parade, Chinese street food stalls, stage performance, Chinese handicrafts and etc.

I’ll just let the pictures do the talking. Enjoy yo!

After strolled around the Chinatown, we settled ourselves at this Malaysian restaurant for our lunch. Hmm… nothing special about the food. It was just ordinary.

The following week (初十一), we’ve been invited by a bunch of Malaysian friends to Glen Waverley for a gathering lunch. Before the lunch, we wandered around to enjoy the lion dance and the dragon parade AGAIN here.

Former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd was giving a speech in Mandarin! =D

… and lastly a group photo of everyone! Here it is, this is how I celebrated my CNY 2011 in Melbourne! =)

“Smart for Two”

As I mentioned in the previous post, I was going to have my Victorian driving test and now I’ve got my licence! Woo hoo!

I’ve got my license, therefore hubby bought me a small car to travel to the train station every working days. Save me time… =)

This is the car that hubby got me. So cute isn’t it? =D

African Safari Experience @ Werribee Open Range Zoo

One Sunday of January, hubby decided to visit Werribee Open Range Zoo and of course I was tagged along! =D

This is an amazing experience for me as we were so close with the giraffe, zebra, ostrich, rhino and antelope.

Ok, I will stop talking here and let the tour begins…

Welcome to Werribee Open Range Zoo!

Amused myself with the mask provided with the tickets. ^-^

Going to pay the lions a visit but didn’t have any luck, they were probably sleeping!

Beware of Hippos, guys!

Seems like the Hippo is sleeping tight there…

Now, the safari adventure started…

We were travelling with an open vehicle (pictured below) and with a professional tour guide.

I was so excited! =P

See! The giraffe was walking towards me! I felt like wanna touch its skin. As they look so smooth, eh?

Rhinos

Managed to get a picture of the ostrich getting up

He is holding the Camel’s hair...

So yeah, this is the end of the safari adventure. It was really a good day with this gorgeous weather.
